Lightroom, the desktop app, has been around for years and will take some time to master and learn, but using lightroom mobile, which is free and with the help of presets you can make your life much easier and get those desired results in just a few clicks.

What are presets?

A whole bunch of desired configurations/settings you would normally use to edit a photo (Color, Saturation, Brightness, Sharpness, Contrast and much more) that are saved into one small file we call preset that is saved into a small DNG photo file.

When applied to a photo or a batch of photos, it will automatically adjust all configurations/settings accordingly to reach a desired result. Presets can either be made or bought, most instagrammers or photographers nowadays sell their presets so you can have pictures with similar settings that they used.

What are the advantages of using Lightroom Presets?

We can list infinite reasons why you should be using lightroom presets for your editing, but the most important are:

· Get a consistent Instagram feed — By using a specific preset, all your pictures will have the same tone, look and style. You will have a coherent theme and this tends to attract more viewers and followers.

· Less time consuming — This will make your editing time a lot less giving you more time to capture more photos. By using presets, you can either edit each picture or a batch in seconds.

· Let’s you experiment different tones — With the help of presets you will be able to adjust your tones to end up with a whole bunch of variety of looks.
